  1. There is no blog for Mato Grosso do Sul, that is why I have done some research: this is a state of the size of Germany, warm and humid. They share the Pantanal areas with Mato Grosso, a huge piece of land flooded with water with an immense biodiversity. The state is flooded from all the tributaries of the Parana River.
Agriculture of soybean, chicken, pork, timber are the main products that the state produces.

    1. Oi Marite,
I think Mato Grosso do Sul must be similar to the North one, they must share their source of economy.

  2. Hey Not sure who wrote this but I like how thorough your blog was and realistic the framing is. I thnk it would have been nice to have more prices on things for each state like you did. Anyways this seems like a cheap palce to visit but still a very interesting travel. Like Jessica said its seem similar to Mato Grosso

  3. Oi companheiros,
Mato Grosso do Sul seems like one of the abandoned parts of Brazil. It surprises me that education is not an important element in the society, or looks like it based on the quality of education; on the other hand, it is really good that they teach two languages in high school as a requirement. A fact that caught my attention was the cost of a round trip, it its more expensive than a round flight to Europe.

  4. Mato Grosso Do Sul seems like a very affordable place to live. The cost of living and education seems affordable but the quality of the homes and education system may not be worth the cost. A roundtrip flight also seems a bit expensive but the prices of the hotels seem far more affordable than the United States. I would like to visit mainly to experience the clear blue water rivers and caves. Also to attend the Brazil Sabor festival to try all the different foods.

  5. Obrigada!

What a beautiful state! I would love to visit the world's largest freshwater wetlands. The video about the ten places to visit made me want to book a ticket today to go there (if only the tickets were cheaper!).

I would like to go when there is not too much rainfall, though that might be difficult. However, I would really like to go to the Brazil Sabor. I love that they highlight local ingredients and I would like to try the different interpretations of the local foods. I could not believe the pricing at the university! Hopefully, more people can take advantage of the price.

Thank you for sharing about such an interesting state!

  6. Olá!

What a way to end learning about Brazil! I think its so cool that when its winter for us, it is summer for them! I may have to leave next winter to go to Mato Grosso do Sul to enjoy some nice weather. Traveling here seems to be very affordable and there seems to be an event going on at all times that would allow anyone to truly experience the culture of Mato Grosso do Sul. Bonito would be my place of choice to see the waterfalls and expansive caves which I'm sure would leave me in awe. Thanks for sharing all about Mato Grosso so Sul.

  7. Olá! I would love to go to Mato Grosso do Sul to be in that beautiful weather! That cave looks very relaxing as well! Traveling seems very affordable as well, the only thing that would be expensive is the ticket but I would save for that to be able to go visit such a wonderful place!

  8. Hello

It was interesting to learn that English and Spanish are part of the curriculum. Its a little sad to learn that they have a poor quality of education. It Seems like low key city with great views and nature. It would be nice to visit during may to attend the gastronomy festival, Brasil Sabor. I enjoy trying new foods and learning new recipes, this would be amazing. Brazil looks amazing and a 19 hr flight would be worth it. Ill be honest Mato Grosso do Sul will not be on my top 5 cities to visit but I do appreciate the information.
    Interesting Post
    Thank you!

  9. Olá!

Mato Grosso do Sul and especially Bonito, seems like a beautiful place to visit without breaking the bank, althoug I'm not sure if it would be my first choice in choosing a place to live. Both the gastronomy festival and Festival de Inverno de Bonito would be very fascinating events to attend while their and a great way to get into the culture.

I would also be curious to learn why Matto Grosse do Sul decided to break away from Mato Grosso.

    Obrigado

  10. The costs listed for university are a little bit depressing to see. How awesome that education is subsidized. The Pantanal sounds like a place that one might find in the African Serengeti, makes sense that the cattle industry could boom in a place like that. Insane how clear the water was in the video. The ecotourism aspect is very enticing.
